BREWER

All aspects of wort production, cellar work, basic lab work, packaging, and brewery sanitation.

Overview

Raw material handling and organization

Inventory

Milling operations and wort production: mashing, lautering, boiling, and cooling

Accurate and timely record keeping  

Yeast pitching, cell counting, fermentation monitoring   

Cone dumps

Dry hopping  

CIP operations, hot and cold side 

Maintain overall cleanliness of brewery facilities

Centrifugation and transferring operations 

Carbonation and preparation of Bright beer for packaging  

Cleaning and filling kegs 

Can line operation 

Loading and unloading trucks 

Performing routine maintenance of brewery equipment as needed 

Perform quality assurance prior to packaging and prior to the release of finished goods

Represent Industrial Arts brewing at public tastings, festivals, and events

Requirements

Minimum 1-year production brewery experience  

Brewing education preferred

Forklift experience

Dedication to cleaning and sanitizing

Able to twist, bend, kneel, work in a loud, wet factory environment every shift

Able to regularly lift/carry 44-pound boxes

Able to regularly lift/carry 55-pound bags above waist level

Availability to work nights and weekends 

Desire to interact with customers, vendors, personable attitude   






SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Maintain and increase distribution and rate of sale at on and off-premise retail accounts.

Overview

Ability to work independently and within a team setting to accomplish sales goals.

Work 4.5 days per week in the market visiting on and off premise accounts developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with key retailers.  1/2 day per week will be spent in office planning/recapping/following up, etc.

Represent the brewery in a positive, professional and personable manner.

Work closely with all departments to ensure a clear understanding of current and future beer releases, associated styles and company culture. 

Communicate market trends and relevant sales data to brewery staff and business partners.

Ensure that brewery quality standards are clearly understood and enforced by retailers and distributors.

Maintain a flexible work schedule as weekends and extended workdays are often necessary.

Create and execute promotions with business partners, festivals and events.

Provide daily market activity and weekly recap. 

Requirements

A reliable, registered and insured vehicle and ability to drive to and from accounts within assigned territory. 

Skill in multi-tasking and being a self-starter with a strong desire and ability to execute and win.

Ability to express and present oneself in an articulate, succinct and professional manner. 


Must be able to lift 25 pound cases, as well as maneuver and place 168 pound kegs.


Good technology skills with a focus on Excel, PowerPoint, various social media, industry programs such as OBeer and more.  Ongoing education and personal development in all areas is expected.


A minimum 2-year college degree (or equivalent experience) is required; a 4-year college degree (or equivalent experience) is preferred.

1+ years of alcohol/beverage industry retail, distributor or supplier experience is strongly preferred. 

A strong understanding of the local craft beer scene and opportunities within the territory

Ability to pre-plan on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis and consistently execute plans in a timely manner.


WAREHOUSE OPERATOR / DRIVER

Efficient movement of incoming and outgoing goods as well as finished product within the brewery’s storage spaces, cold box, and production areas. This individual will also be relied upon for beer deliveries to accounts offsite.    

Overview

Preparing and organizing outgoing shipments

Receiving incoming shipment and communication of relevant information  

Securing and organization of packaged beer off of the production line into cold storage  

Organization of the cold box and warehouse 

Maintaining clean and orderly cold box and warehouse and production spaces

Inventory of raw materials and finished goods

Loading delivery vehicles with correct number of kegs and cases

Ensuring proper paperwork is received and signed by customer

Keeping track of returned kegs

Safe navigation through NYC and the Lower Hudson Valley

Safely unloading items to customers

Requirements
